The Mardlers - 'Mad To Live' Single Review

The Mardlers are an indie rock band from Cambridge - with a little bit of folk thrown in for extra personality! Their new single 'Mad To Live' is released this Friday 22nd January and has already had its first play on Radio West Norfolk.

'Mad To Live' is a clever, story-telling song, and I can't help but think these stories are probably true! The punchy lyrics of the verses lead into a catchy chorus, and by my third listen I had found myself singing along to "You can see the hunger in our eyes ... I swear we'll be the last ones left alive"! Interesting guitars are interspersed along the way and just add to the catchiness of the song. After listening to this upbeat, narrative song, I think a lot of you will be saying "oh I know someone like that!"

Declan McKenna Zeros Tour J1, Cambridge Junction - 23rd August 2021 "Cambridge are the OG's... everyone in this room saw me busking in the street 5 years ago." My Favourite Memories from Gigs (All of these photos and videos were taken by me and are my own personal videos) With the news that concerts may be returning from 21st of June, I got myself some tickets booked, in the hopes that I may get to do some gig reviews! Greysha - 'Gold Glaze' Single Review

19 year old, Shropshire based singer/songwriter Greysha released 'Gold Glaze' on 20th October. A beautiful and reflective song about looking back at key events in your life. Told from the perspective of growing up it touches on lots of subjects many teenagers will recognise in themselves, not wanting to be in class, rebellious piercings, also however the more serious and poignant subjects of family and looking back at happier times. As a subscriber to her mailing list from back when I bought the CD of her previous single 'Aspirin' , Greysha said of 'Gold Glaze' on release "I have poured my soul and a little part of who I am into this" The inflection and emotion she puts into the vocals literally make you feel this is true.
